It was the purple jerseys.

They didn't look like LSU, they didn't feel like LSU, and they didn't play like LSU.

White jerseys -- home and away -- forever and Amen.

Maybe, just maybe.... it had a little something to do with the guys in the white and cardinal uniforms?

I have no idea what your thinking?
This team played just as bad with the white jerseys all year.
Perfect example is the Florida game.

We are lucky that we are 5-2 or whatever we are.
When you turn over the ball 4 times in one game and the opponent doesn't turn over the ball, you usually don't win those games.

We were lucky to win the Florida game, OSU game as well.

The inconsistancy of this team has been with either jersey.

    Guys, lighten up...

It's a joke... He's trying to bring some humor into this board.

You're exactly right. I didn't mean it entirely seriously. It's just fun to blame things on fate rather than substance, if for no reason than to introduce humor. To shoot my own argument down, I'd like to point out that we won the 2000 peach bowl in purple jerseys. Are we really 3-0 in purple? That didn't occur to me.

I still like the white jersey. When I see clips on tv that are showing different teams in action, all at a fast speed-----One look at that Gold helmet and white jersey and I KNOW I am looking at the pride of LSU. With the purple, I have to look real close and be sure. Maybe in time. I just like the honor, tradition, and respect those jerseys command. I don't care for Ole Miss's whites that much. Like the red or blue though. When I lived in BR and went to all the LSU games, the colors of the visiting team added to the pagentry of the atmosphere. Like a motorcycle gang coming in proud and wearing their colors. Like a peacock---until the Tiger plucked the feathers out of your a## and used them for writing quills. OUGHT TO BE THE HOME TEAMS CHOICE.
