For those interested, Feaster is going to be on Matt Moscona's show (104.5) in a few minutes: http://espn.go.com/espnradio/play?s=wnxx-fm
Although it has been a very long time since I have talked to him, I used to see and talk to Dave Feaster occasionally when he was an assistant at Jennings High School. I can assure you that he is a stand up guy. I once read an article that said he told one of his players that he would rather sit the bench at LSU than start for any other team in the country. The guy loves LSU. He must have had a very good reason if he suggested to Harris that he transfer.
I was thinking a little deeper, yes, of course it didn't work with Harris but what if he is getting to other kids/coaches in the area saying "Look at what they are doing with regards to QB" It would at least have legs. Especially with the shit show Jennings has put on all year. That is what I hope does not work and I hope Les and the gang get it together and quickly.
I felt a lot of the same feelings he has about Harris back with Jarrett Lee. Jarrett Lee played GREAT in 2011, all the way up until the Alabama game. He was horrible in that game, and a switch was warranted. However, Jarrett never saw the field again. I thought with as well as he played, that was really unfair to him.
Hmm...there may be something to that. I grew up 2 miles south of I-10 and I don't like potato salad in my gumbo. My wife grew up 1/4 mile north of I-10 and loves potato salad in her gumbo. Of course it's not German potato salad. It's more of a mashed potato salad with eggs.
Yes, that potato salad and I was born and raised 25 miles south of 10. I know more people that throw it in there than dont. Hell that's how I started doing it.
I don't know for sure if I have ever even had gumbo and potato salad at the same meal. I was raised about 3 miles sout of l10 and I had never ever heard of putting potato salad into gumbo untll I read this thread
David's from Mamou. His dad coached there. Probably not too familiar with what it takes to transition to college level but I think this stems from a simple bond from a former coach with an awesome player who helped hang a bunch of "W's" and wanting to see him do well. It's great. Makes it tick too.
