It is such a STRUGGLE to listen to Miles Speak...

Sometimes I wonder why I even log in to TigerForums.:dis: :dis:

 

Listening to his coach's show on the radio is hard to do. He sounds very uncomfortable talking on the radio. Then, you couple that with the totally stupid phone calls he gets - it's no wonder he sounds uncomfortable. It makes me want to call and apologize to him. I've heard Les speak in person twice and try to listen to all of his press conferences and coach's shows. I believe Les is thinking so fast and ahead of himself that sometimes he's slow to articulate what his answer should be. It's hard to explain, but it's a deal where he's going to answer the question and then by the time he starts to answer he's already thinking ahead and loses tract of what exactly he wanted to say. Others are right too, when he also chooses his words very carefully as not to reveal or say too much.

From an out-of-stater, thanks for posting the info. I'm listening to the show as I type. As far as Miles speaking ability, a quote from Al Davis, the maverick Oakland Raiders owner comes to mind, "JUST WIN BABY!!"

Listening to Hawthorne reminds me how much I miss John Ferguson

 

Most annoying thing about Miles' media vocabulary: "Certainly". The dude has some sort of "certainly" quota that he must meet every time he talks.

Maybe he's trying to chase Saban in the overused word department as well. Saban could drop "relative to" in any sentence, any time.

I don't want to see that out of him, simply, because I don't want to lose...

Say what you will, but this team wants to play for him very badly, so he is doing something right

I'd like to get the contract to cure him ... Either the simple way (by hypnosis) or the enjoyable way ...

I'd strap his ass to a chair and put toothpicks in his eyelids (Clockwork Orange style) ... make him watch 72 hours straight of replay of the Tennessee game ... 2nd half only ... pistol whipping him at the end of every loss he watched and applying shock treatment to his genetalia ...

All the while EXACTING A FULL ACCEPTABLE EXPLANATION (His Wednesday show that week didn't do it for me) .....................
