I agree... If you don't want to listen to him talk, mute the station, and pretend it is Saban talking, because Saban's handling of the media, definately makes him a much better coach than Les...

I find it much easier to just wait & read the press releases/stories with quotes. They usually take the "uhh's" out & provide plenty of context.

I too could care less about Miles' public speaking ability.

listen, don't get me wrong, I LIKE HEARING WHAT MILES HAS TO SAY.

I think he is a good coach...

maybe he should go through some speech classes?

I still wish he was crazy/insane... I thought thats what we were getting...

him not screaming at people, and not telling the players to let er rip...

I just feel like LSU got jipped in that department...

its just the little things I notice...

He has no problem having a conversation with people or even talking to the team. This appears to be a problem limited to being in public & with the media.

    A few excerpts:

    Recapping the Ole Miss game..."
To recap the Ole Miss game, I think our football team understood that they were going into a place where a team would play with heightened emotion, they called it their bowl game, and really tried to point at the end of their season as this being a really, really big game. Our football team went in there and played hard and did what they had to do. In my opinion they played better in all three phases than they have, offense, defense and special teams. And we came out with the victory.

    On playing for "The Boot"...
"It becomes awfully important at the end of the game when it's yours. There are a bunch of (similar awards) that are played for, but again, the key is that at the end of the game you take it home. If that trophy goes away from you, it means a lot more to you whether it be a boot, a shoe or a toothpick."

On playing Arkansas on Friday instead of a normal Saturday game...
I enjoy listening to Coach speak. There is no doubt that he is passionate about the game and his team. It sounds like he may be in favor of moving this game to Saturday. I always thought that Saban wanted to.

He hasn't lost his sense of humor...:hihi:

In front of the major media Miles seems to feel like he has to project himself beyond his comfort level.

He is much more relaxed talking one on one and with a person he feels he can be open with.

Once Tracy Wolfson reminded Miles that she was also a Michigan grad, he warmed up to her and now comes across very personable when speaking with her.

ok, i'll admit it. i watch The Apprentice. last season there was a young guy, Chris, that looked like CLM and talked like CLM. anyone else notice?

the way CLM speaks bugs me, too, but i dont really care.
