Who was the pitcher (righty) that would actually hop off the rubber when making his leg kick, then land and push off for the pitch? I remember him pitching in the '00 World Series, but not after.
In softball that's called "Crow hopping" and is an illegal pitch. Talk about gain an advantage when a pitcher can stride out a few feet and "Re-plant" her pivot foot. The rule is that "The foot must maintain contact with the ground" Just in case you may have been interested.

i think hes right even though I can hardly remember hunter. i had forgotten about him but hes a righty as well i believe. i fell asleep during the stanford game. we lost didnt we?
