Not for nothin', this is a very good question, IMO. From a Biblical perspective, I don't get it. From a geo-political perspective it kinda makes sense, except they settled on land that doesn't have oil.
yeah, i honestly dont understand what happened to make christians, particularly right wing fundamentalists so fond of israel. it is easy to like jews when their opponenent is muslims, i mean, who likes muslims? nobody, thats who. but jews, and particularly jews who are zionists, these are racists, who believe in a jewish homeland because god favors them. zionism is racism, pure and simple. (and i do like racism, but only in terms of free speech, not actually punishing races at your expense because you are god's chosen) but everyone needs a reason to divide into groups, a reason to be proud of whatever clan they happened to be born into. i happen to have blue eyes. where is my blue eyes' homeland? oh nevermind, blue eyes is an arbitrary thing and there is no real kinship of any kind betwixt me and the other blue eyes dudes. why cant people get that everything is arbitrary?

Nothing, I'm just trying to square away your inconsistent statements. Would you like to clarify what I pointed out? Now, to answer your question, there are many reasons. To start with, six million Jews were slaughtered by your friend Hitler. Any group of people who suffered such an atrocity deserve sympathy and protection. They're the constant target of terrorists and deserve to protect themselves. Third, they're still God's chosen people and God still has plans for them. I can go on but that's enough for me.

well, somebody needs to tell satan, because he still welcomes to hell all who deny that jesus is the messiah. so unless these jews make a switch late in the game, god tortures them for eternity. so when i convert to christianity, you wont see me preventing a little torture for the jews, who are due a good burnin anways.
