if not for the salt water, a flooded new orleans would be a great addition to the BASS tournament series. but specks and redfish would be alright too.

We've pulled in a couple of sea turtles when fishing for bull redfish near the Calcasieu Jetties. We always let them go right away, don't need the legal hassel with the feds. Turtle soup is made with snapping turtles. It's good stuff, but you need to know the tricks to get the meat out. Oh, so I'm not accused of derailing, c'mon folks, the hurricane will be long past by game time. There may or may not be enduring power outages, and it may or may not dump enough rain on BR to cause any problems that far after it passes.
