USC is a very good football team (I can't believe I just said that) but they are beatable. Unless USC or OU loses it won't matter what Auburn or Wisconsin does: The Orange Bowl BCS Championship game will leave them out. Right now I would have to think that both Auburn and OU could beat USC but probably no Wisconsin. If Georgia played their best game they would beat the Toy Boys of Troy too.
I dont think you will get a chance to see ronnie brown run against them because Georgia is gonna end there perfect season next week.
I'm driving myself nuts trying to decide whether or not to root for Auburn making it to the NC against USC. It'd be great to see USC lose to 'em, but it'd be great to see Auburn lose. I suppose it's both a win-win and a lose-lose situation.
I think the 2003 Sooners were the most overrated team of all time. Remember the mid season talk of "best college team ever"?
As for me AU has the best chance of making it to the Orange Bowl of any SEC team. The fact that they are SEC west makes the pot a little sweeter. I like the fact of saying that the SEC beats each other up and such but if we can get a team to the NC game then I will throw my support behind them. #1 LSU #2 SEC West #3 SEC then we go from the south and work out way north. I think it would be cool to send an SEC team to the NC at least two years in a row. BUUUUTTT it will take a slip up for AU to get in. Stranger things have happened.
There is currently talk that Auburn, should they win out, could very well pass up OU in the BCS--even without overtaking them in the human polls. The BCS still does weight SOS to a degree, and AU's SOS is far greater to end the season than OU's with Baylor, I forget who else (a week North team), and their Big 12 CG opponent (who may not even have a winning record. There was a big crying column about it in The Dallas Morning News yesterday morning. Basically, they were saying what a travesty it would be for an undefeated OU to be left out of the OB. I sat there screaming at the paper, saying, "Thanks for being a huge part of our SPLIT NC last year--when you SHOULD have also been left out of the SB!"
