I think that if you're an opposing fan and you come in here and show some class, you'll be treated fine. If you come in here with an attitude acting like a smacktard, you will get beat down.

Was the author of that quote the same guy who said "Keep your friends close but your enemies closer"?

I vote to keep Ramah. I like reading his posts. This forum would be alot less entertaining without his angry, aggressive, yet sometimes well thought out, amusing and even sometimes highly informative posts. Some of the stuff he says may piss people off...hell, he has even pissed me off and embarassed me as a curteous tiger fan from time to time. But diversity is good. Me and many others, although reluctant to admit it, are strangely captivated by he and his cousin, TE's posts.

Wow, that drug on too long. My apologies.

As for smack talking posts in general...

The only time it bothers me is when a completely harmless opposing fan simply wishing to talk football is immediately berated unneccessarilly - (which is by far the hardest word I have ever attempted to spell). But, luckily, those who do post these rude and childish posts are quickly called out by the more mature tiger fans.

So in conclusion, before I bore to death the few high-endurance readers who have continued to read this post, which is becoming more pointless with each passing second, I think the admin. should immediately delete only those posts which serve no purpose other than being unprovoked, unrelated, and childish smack-talking responses. Every other questionable type of post should stay, because it keeps this stuff interesting.

I totally disagree. I believe that any visitor to this forum gets treated with the same respect that he gives in return.

Friendly "ribbing" aside (which, as a visitor to any sports forum, you'll have to accept as inevitable), no one has bashed or slandered a visitor for anything. However, if a visitor comes here and bad-mouths us, then yes, definately, he'll get his fair share of comebacks. But if they want to post here, defend their university in rational manner, respectfully disagree and show their school pride, then, no, I have no problem.

Re: Re: Is TigerForums unfriendly to rival posters?

I disagree with this just becuase as a Tiger newcomer I read many of the threads before I posted for a while just to get the feel for the board. Ramah has attacked frequently before many of the guys even had a chance to breathe and TE a few times and maybe even BigSaban once or twice but Jesus, if someone gets their feelings hurt because of a post on a message board from a guy hundreds of miles away they need to get the opposite of sensitivity training, whatever that is, I guess growing up and becoming a big boy. I just crack jokes about the smacker such as whew or something. Some of the smack talkers make the best points on the board. And some of them even get a good joke in once in a while. If anything bothers me it's the signatures that take up 2 and 1/2 pages just to scroll down. I find them pretty ridiculous when you see the ones that are longer than 99% of even the most longwinded posts and then they are put up over and over again. A signature should be just that, a signature with maybe a small picture. Just my 2 cents worth.

I for one think since we live in a democratic society that Ramah is more than welcome to post (in some cases "vent") on here. He may seem obnoxious at times, inconsistent with what appears to be "bandwagoning", trash talks to no end, and offends many people, but you can't fault him for his zeal. Variety is the spice of life, and he is just one spoke in the wheel on this tiger message board.

I therefore, as the distinguished Senator from the great city of Kaplan, Louisiana (hometown of course), vote to allow Ramah to remain on this forum.
