I don't take it personally. This is just an internet forum. But, as @lsutiga pointer out their is a difference between having a degree of prejudice and being an out and out racist. All of us have certain prejudices. Even the most tolerant ing us gave had life experiences that cause us to prejudge certain people and situations.

Just because I wouldn't hire a black guy who wore sagging pants and his hat turned sideways to an interview doesn't mean I hold it against all black people. I wouldn't hire a white guy, an Hispanic Or an Asian dressed like that either.

Some prejudices are actually beneficial toward the survival of an individual. Am I a racist because I would fear walking down the street at night on a ghetto or a barrio? Is it racist to not stop at a convenience store or a gas station if there are some thuggish looking people hanging out in front?

Getting weary of people telling what words mean and what words I can use.

Which raises a great point, if someone isn't a thug then the word clearly shouldn't bother them regardless of what color they are. You know if you are one or not, or if you act like one or not and that is also key. Lots of these jolly jokers are giant vaginas and if you get in their face they leak just like one.

This is such a non issue. If you don't want to be offended by the word "Thug" then don't fucking act like one. Plain. Simple. End of Story.

Y'all are shifting the narrative. That's all fine and dandy, you don't wanna be called a thug don't act like one. I get that. No one is telling anyone if you use the word thug you're a racist. Just saying when used in certain context it could be perceived that way, regardless if you care or not.

The thing is that I don't give a flying fuck about anybody who would perceive it as racist that I used the word thug. This country has gone way overboard with their pussy political correctness bullshit.

You missed the regardless if you care or not part I see. I added that part because I knew someone would poke their chest out and give the "well I don't give a fuck how it's perceived" macho retort. If you have ever worked in the corporate world you know that line is stupid, because it's all about others perceptions, and what you feel or what you meant means jack shit.

And then what? I could say the same thing about damn near any word "if used in the right context". I don't know who put the nail on the head but it was mentioned earlier, this is just being too sensitive.

It very well may be. I'm not arguing that. My corporate human resources side is coming out on this one. Its all about perception.

You're right though, just about any word in the right context could be perceived that way.
