Same can be said for nigger. Was ment to describe lazy and shiftless before being applied to black folks. Now It's just a word lazy and shiftless white people can't say.
Fuck that. The black community can't keep determining which words I can/cannot use. Neither can white folk determine which words are off-limits for Africans. Fuck them thugs- white and black alike. Just saw a black man from last night who said, "You may as well call them niggers." If that word it off-limits then it's off-limits for all- which it's not.
"Prejudiced," yes; "racist," I don't think so. Difference being that people tend to identify/associate with others of the same interests. Race, to a degree, has an impact on this. I don't think it makes one "racist."
Most of you aren't racist because some white people are racist. You're racist because you're ignorant. You replying to my post and very plainly taking it personally is a fine example. Someone who wasn't racist wouldn't be offended by it because I'm obviously not talking to them.
It depends on what context you use it. Perfect example was Trayvon Martin. How often was he called a thug? Now how often were Dylan Kliebold and the other Columbine dude called thugs? No one is trying to say you can't use a word. Fuck I don't care if you use the N word, just be prepared for the consequences and the negativity you are bringing upon yourself.
For quite a while, Dylan Kliebold and the other Columbine dude were called loners who were bullied. A few years ago, the security specialist for our district was talking to us about identifying troubled students, and he said that after many years of study on the Columbine shooting, that the two murderers had been bullying the other students for a very long time. So, yeah, anyway...those two dead assholes were also thugs.
