Geaux look up the 2002 stats. Mauck wasn't much better than Randall with the excpetion of TD/INT ratio, and Mauck put up most of his numbers against bottom feeders. But Mauck turned out OK.

Randall will have a kick-ass running game this time.

Marcus Randall deserves a shot. My position is simple; the three guys head-to-head-to-head, may the best QB win. And if Randall wins the job, I don't want to hear one single boo when he is announced starter for the season opener next year. Coach Saban is a better judge of football talent than ANY of us. He will play the man who, in his judgement, gives us the best chance to win.

Seems like I remember this same thing going on when Rohan Davey was going to be QB. A lot of people thought Booty was the savior. Who turned out to be the better of the two? I think Randell is along the same lines as Davey. He will turn out to be a great QB.

I remember being very thankful that Josh Booty went pro early. I was getting very fed up with watching Davey come in and play brilliantly, then seeing Booty starting again the very next week.

My guess is that the coaches want either Russell or Flynn to win the job, with Randall around as an experienced back-up. Having only two QBs on the squad could be disastrous if injuries occur.
