RP has already cancelled his trip, several current commits have said they are already looking at other options and rival coaches are having a field day. I just dont understand that statement. When the kids themselves are saying just the opposite.

I agree, but what else can the boss say when it's the employee who holds all cards and runs the show? I think Bertman is afraid to criticize him, because he doesn't want to tick Nick off, plus you can't really come out and say this is hurting LSU in public, because that will only make the situation worse from a recruiting standpoint.
RP wasn't a guarenteed signee anyway. He was just rethinking his earlier commitment. I will say that this is not hurting recruiting. Even if we do have to get another coach he will be on the road mere hours after he accepts the job. You can bank we will not lose ANYONE. Coach Saban included. Believe it when I tell you Skip doesn't pull punches. He won't make it public because that is not the forum he wants but don't think he hasn't let Saban know how he feels about this situation.
