most people don't mind paying for it, just make it affordable. give employers tax credits for providing health care for their employees.
If you want to save billions of dollars on health care just start with that criminal enterprise known as medicare! My mother-in-law has been sick for a couple years and has gone from home health care to hospice care. The ridiculous amount of "stuff" the providers bring in is unnecessary, expensive and all being billed to medicare through these companies. She probably has $20,000 of breathing equipment that isn't even being used. Whenever we question the providers they just say its what medicare allows so they bring it. What a terrible waste.
300 a month. 20 dollar doctor visits, 10 dollar drugs, 5 dollar generics. Why is it that i can go to mexico and get a handful of asthma inhalers for about 5 bucks, but here in america they are 20 to 35 dollars a pop. How come if i order my mirapex from canada its 100 dollars for 3 months supply, but here in america, its 100 bucks for a 1 month supply.
there is no affordable. its a utopian idea and an impossible one. all health care systems will have problems but as a whole this one is the best. stomp out the worthless lawyers and aliens and it would be even more awesome.
no but mainly you on this subject of best as the many others citing sources with little real world example.
I'd have a hard time believing that these 46 million that can't afford could afford even $300. Also costs here are high b/c of the regulations that are put in place by govt to protect you. You want more govt you got it. Not to mention here in the US we actually abide by patent laws b/c we are capitalist free market society unlike thieves elsewhere. Why not stop bitching about the pricing and actually do something about the laws that keep those prices up. It's not the companies. They just want to sell you product/services.
