Yes, it is painfully obvious that ND doesn't get the best playmakers anymore due to its academic standards. This has divided ND fans, where some want ND to do whatever it takes to win, including rolling around the mud with the rest of college football, while other fans insist that no victory is worth sacrificing all that is special and unique about ND.

OSU is particulary infamous, with its basket weaving classes.

And, then, there's USC. Just look at Chauncy Washington, RB for SC. When Bush and Lendale White are playing, where he's not needed, Washington is academically ineligible to play football. But, once those two players leave and there's no other options but freshman RBs, he suddenly and magically becomes academically eligible and can play football again. But, now, a year later, when those running backs have had a full year of experience and you've got highly coveted RB studs like Tyler and McNight joining the team, suddenly Washington is academically ineligible again. This sends a terrible, terrible message where schools are willing to tamper with grades to allow a player fill a position but are then more than willing to cut him loose when it doesn't need him anymore.

Your propensity to stretch the truth and spew outright lies is unreal.

Chauncey Washington was academically inelligible for 2 years and had NO scholarship. He continued at SC on his own instead of choosing to take a chance with the NFL early. His dad has worked 2 and 3 jobs to help pay the tuition and yet they will still be in debt when CW is done unless he can make it on a practice roster somewhere. CW is not being discounted simply because we have several more RB's coming in the door. You think PC is going to hand the rock to 2 freshman RB's over an experienced workhorse like Chauncey?

Finally, CW is NOT currently inelligible. Yes, he has to pull things together before the end of this semester but is practicing and is completely elligible at this time. The entire coaching staff has done anything but cut CW loose.

Now why don't we talk about ND's recent recruiting violation when Michellin Man paraded Junior Day recruits through the pro day area in full view of several NFL coaches. The NCAA decided that was a no-no as of January 1st. I guess it's only the rest of college football that has to follow the rules, hey bitter?
