I thought you got some cool SEC rings out of the deal? On a side note: Jeepers Muschamp, what a demo of Florida thuggery at it's finest. Could a football team get more cheap shots in, during a 60 minute game?
They havent mastered hiding it as well as Bama. Either that or the check bounced. Bama always pays with cash right?
Your snide comments used to make me mad. I actually think your kinda funny now. Oh well....to the victor go the spoils I guess.
Dang. It sure was when we WERE dominating. When we WERE dominating bowl game records I used to say bowl games weren't THE BEST indicator of conference strength/weakness, necessarily, and I got tagged as non-SEC.
While I'll hold my final judgement till after Monday it looks like the SEC is not down. aTm & the Bears just showed how deep it is. LSU, Fla played poorly and Ga & USCe barely adequately. I think the ultimate thing we should remember is that the strength of the conference is that different teams rise and fall within but the overall level stays high. Remember in this 6 year stretch of BCS championships 4 teams (LSU, Fl, Au & AL) have each won championships. Only the Big 12 has 2 teams that have won BCS championships (Tx & Okie). I refuse to count Miami as a second BCS champ for the ACC. I think whether or not the gumps win the SEC will still be the best but we have dropped a little closer to the pack for now. I really expect this to be a worst a 1 year situation and that next year there will be several teams pushing for the top with the gap back where it should be.
I really believe that if the SEC went head to head with any other conference it would be no contest. And to me that is what makes the SEC so much stronger, not one or two games.
