1. good explanation of what something like this could possibly look like. After thinking it over last night I guess I can see where Red is coming from but I believe something like this could fast track the recovery. I am sure you and your colleagues would love to see something like this. I have several friends in the mortgage and/or real estate biz and it's been a tough road.
  2. He may very well do something to help underwater owners. What he can't do in an election year is propose something that the Republicans will turn into "adding another Trillion dollars to the debt" or "bailing out" people who bought houses beyond their means.
  3. Well, would it add $1T to the debt? Would it benefit out only those deemed as buying houses beyong their means? From your perspective, stating these things, even if they were true, would be putting a negative spin on the "altruistic" intentions of the Obamas, I guess.
  4. Dude...don't try to put words in my mouth. Let me spell it out for you clearly...I'm tired of worthless, non-productive people getting bailed out for being irresponsible and not being held accountable for their own actions!

You want to blame the banks but fail to mention anyone like Barney Frank who allowed the changes so EVERYONE could own a home. I lived in California for a decade and watched people living off minimum wage buying $500K homes because they were greedy. They wanted to turn a quick profit and they lost! They are just as guilty as the Wall Street corporations being protested yet they seem to get a pass.

Greed is greed! It knows no limts. It has no baseline or minimum. You can be dirt poor and still be greedy. Stop rewarding bad decisions, greed, and irresponsible behavior.

If a plan is designed to assist those who were truly screwed or will help the housing market, homeowners, and lending institutions...great! If it's another "Redistribution of Wealth" program or a way to bailout undeserving people...hell no! I would like to think it's the first but knowing Obama's ideology and his absolute hate for anyone who is successful by hard work, I'm guessing it will also include the latter.
  5. Who knows? The article was complete speculation.

You demonstrate just how little you know about my perspective. Why don't you tell us your perspective instead.
  6. Barney Frank and about 383 Republicans in Congress! The Banks were the ones who made out like bandits.

The bubble and the bust were not caused by poor people buying shotgun houses in the hood. It was by middle and upper-class people buying mansions.
  7. (Obama's hatred for anyone who is successful? I guess that means he hates himself. This is probably one of the most ignorant statements that I have heard in a long time. You can disagree but to say he hates success is just plain ignorant.)

About the only thing you have proved with your past few posts is that you hate Obama and you have no good reason for it. All of the points that you have made are shallow at best.

Please tell us what you would do? Or what your favorite Republican candidate would do. Please add something to the conversation other than "Stupid Obama."
  8. My perspective is that I am sick and tired of my money being used by the government for a grand experiment in cultural engineering.

And, since I have read most all of what you have written on this forum, I certainly have a clear understanding of your perspective, unless you have been lying.
  9. please explain what you mean by cultural engineering.
  10. 1. I am not a liar.
    2. You understand nothing about me or you would know that.
