Is Nick Fairley the dirtiest player in the NCAA?

Every game, you can tell, and he makes no bones about it; he is doing his dead-level best to put the opposing team quarterback on a stretcher.

South Carolina game; took out Garcia
Arkansas game; took out Mallett

Against us, he deliberately landed on top of and walrus-wallored on Jarrett Lee, hurting his wrist, and later in the game, body-slammed Jordan Jefferson. Both acts would've drawn flags in the NFL.

Then here, against UGA, speared Aaron Murray square in the back well after the ball was thrown.

Guy's not ashamed of it at all, he's damn proud of his emerging rep as a quarterback killer.

If I'm Alabama's O-line coach, first time he goes dirty on McElroy, I order one of my guards to spear him right through the knee (facemask on kneecap, full speed) well after the play is over. I don't care if my guy gets thrown out of the ball game or not. Nip that garbage in the bud.

 

AFter the Auburn game I got in a little back and forth with "Caddilacattack" who was trying to sell that actually this dirty prick had been wronged by us. Hey Cadd, no need to reply to this you have no credibility if your defending this kind of play.

I'll repeat what I said then - if he keeps this crap up in the NFL someone will mess him up. And more people will smile than shed a tear.

 

The other thing I keep hearing by the announcers is that Newton "decided to leave Florida". Yeh sure - Cam decided to transfer from Florida to Blinn to better his career.

I gotta remember to turn off the sound next time those two are on.

Maybe the Cowboys will draft him so that the Eagles can put a bounty on his head.

 

what's sad is the dude doesn't have to play like that. he is a damn good defensive tackle, but at the same time, a thug.

what is Mike Slive going to do, remember, about 3 weeks ago, a MSST defensive back was suspended for a game for a cheap shot, Mike Slive has a chance to do something right for a change, and suspend Nick Fairley for a game. Good kids like AJ Green gets suspended for 4 games for selling his own jersey he wore in a bowl game, and Nick Fairley gets do finishing moves on quarterbacks.

2 defensive tackles suspended for the first half against Alabama. Auburn has won the SEC West, however they still have to beat Alabama, and South Carolina. There is still a chance they could miss out on the BCS completely.

 

My thought after the game yesterday was that he should not only be banned from NCAA football, he should be arrested for felonious assault. He was clearly try to injure Murray.

It's going to be enjoyable watching Auburn having to vacate all these victories down the road.

i almost ended up in a ditch today when some idiot on rivals radio tried to poo poo off fairleys dirty play by saying its just "his motor running".
