Is Michigan still Les Miles' "Dream Job"?

If you read DandyDon this morning he said that Coach Miles will squash all the rumors about the Michigan coach job. If he don't do it at his next Press Conference then we might be looking for another Head Coach.

Man I hope Coach Miles stays here at LSU, he is one heck of a recruiter. Plus he wins the games that he should win, this is why he has a high % of wins each year.

I agree LaSalle, for the reason stated above, just not because the fans think he should keep them informed of all his decisions.:thumb:

I think he would tell those recruits personally rather than having some event in front of cameras saying he isn't interested in a job no one has asked him to take.

I think we'll be fine either way. If he returns, I hope he returns with a new OC (and possibly OL coach). If he leaves, I hope we can make a solid hire and salvage the recruiting class he's working on.

I think things have gotten stagnant and am eager for a change, and if that change occurs at the top spot we could do better than Miles (but we could do worse). Somehow I feel like we'd make a good hire, though. We'd possibly have an additional sum of buyout money to work with.

To all those who are worried about the recruiting class, poppycock. That's going to be a worry every year and there is no guarantee for our coach to leave us at an ideal time.

I am worried about Florida taking Zook (I mean Muschamp), but maybe he is a solid hire, and maybe there was reluctance to follow Meyer. I'd guess there would be less reluctance to follow Miles. Of course, getting heat from the fanbase based on Miles' record might be a cause for concern, but it is a common opinion of the football community that Miles isn't maximizing his team's potential (see may snarky comments on a yearly basis).

In the end, despite all my criticisms, I've got a lot of respect for Miles. He brings a lot of good to the table and if he ends up leaving, I'll miss the old codger.

I believe CLM will be at LSU for a few more seasons!

    That is all.

Mett still hasn't reported to lsu. Do you think he is waiting to make sure miles stays here and if miles goes does mett still come to lsu or not?

No, he has already signed. He is waiting on the NCAA Clearing house to finalize his paperwork.

I was worried because he never got to campus. At least I didn't see any pics of him on campus yet and was thinking he could still bail out if miles bolted.

Earlier in the year when the media spoke of miles he was a dumb azz that couldn't tell time and talked like a fool and on and on. You can bet your azz that if he goes to mich and turns that program around you won't hear anything like that again. He will be spoken of as a football genius like saban and cum. Because he is at lsu he will be disrespected nationally but at mich he will be brilliant. Why is it like that and why is lsu disrespected so much in the media while the espn pricks say nothing but great things about teams like Stanford and Boise ?

True or not, Miles doesn't care, he has already stated as much that he doesn't give a rats azz what people think of him.
