1. uhhh, this doesn't sound like a RB that doesn't see the holes well. His emergence in the second half of last year pretty much saved our season. Yet he gets fewer and fewer carries each week. Miles is waisting a good talent, sorry.
  2. No offense, but isn't the goal to win games?

  3. Thank you.

  4. If Keiland gets more carries, who do suggest gets less carries? Scott? Scotts been tearing it up and seems to hit the holes harder and looks just as fast. Hester has been very reliable and everyone knows what he brings. Holliday needs to get his touches and Murphy has been making plays also. So what do you do? His time will come, be patient.
  5. Last season is last season. Williams can play, but he is still green about some things like blocking and following his blockers. This year he has added a passing game and I think he'll be a star next season.

You get it with Scott, who played ahead of Williams last year until he got hurt and is playing ahead of him this year. Scott gets more yardage per carry than Williams and earns his carries. A few carries must be saved for Holliday and Murphy and a bunch for Hester who grinds out the dependable yardage, play after play.

I agree. This is his next limitation to overcome and I see signs that he's improving. Then he needs to be able to pick up the blitz, so he can stay in on third and long.

I heard it, too, and Williams is a surprisingly articulate fellow. . . and he talks faster than Bobby Jindal, you have to pay attention!

A team has to have depth to compete for the national title, especially in the SEC. A championship-caliber athlete has to be able to play on a team stocked with champions. It means fewer carries and it means you have to wait your turn to start, but it enables you get your shot on a team that's in the chase.

  6. Looks like good tuition money was wasted too.

  7. He also appears to have a right ankle issue. Watch the TD against Auburn on the replay - no tape on either foot/ankle. By the 4th quarter, his right foot and ankle are heavily taped.
  8. Amen! It seems as though Les doesn't want anyone to overshadow Hester. For the season, Hester has 5 more carries than Scott, Williams and Holliday combined. Yet, the three of them, collectively, average 2 yards per carry more than Hester. What gives?
  9. Have you been watching the games? Hester is not only the most dependable back, but he's the only one who can also be a lead blocker, pick up the blitz, and go out for a pass. He never fumbles. Versatility will get you a lot of playing time. Holliday also gets more yards per carry, but he's not versatile enough to see the ball more than two or three times a game.
  10. Hester deserves all the praise he gets. He gets the most out of his ability and he gives 100% whenever he's on the field. I just don't think he deserves as many carries as Scott, Williams, Holliday and Murphy combined. Blocking is one thing, but do you honestly believe that he should carry the ball that much more than LSU's four tailbacks?
