If he's really one of the best in the nation, how come he hasn't had any real offers by now? He makes $500,000. Most schools pay more than that.

He'll get an offer sooner or later, but I'm not sure he's really considered one of the best in the country.

You enjoyed the playcalling at Auburn?

If Jimbo is our problem i would hate to have the rest of the SEC OC since we have the number 1 offense in yards and points in the SEC..

If there was ever a concrete case of stats telling a lie, this is the definition of it.

Tennessee, Arkansas, Auburn, and Florida do not have 2 conference losses. LSU does.

Agreed about the two losses but it is not Jimbo's fault.. He doesnt return kicks and fumble the ball or throw INT's or cant block to establish a running game.

Apples and oranges. Jimbo's job is produce yards and points. His offense has done so and leads the SEC (#16 nationally).

The wins and losses come from offense, defense, and special teams combined. Defense has also produced, leading the SEC as well (#1 nationally).

The problem is special teams. The kick and punt fumbles lost us Florida. Lack of a dependable 50-yard kicker cost us Auburn. We have almost the lowest net punting in the nation (#101). We are not running back big returns on kicks (#99) or punts (#49). We are not defending punt returns very well (#117!!!)

Special teams is the problem. Not Jimbo. Not Bo. Not Miles. Brad Peveto has to turn around LSU's poor special teams play to beat Tennessee and win out. If you must find a coach to blame, Peveto's squads are performing the worst.

Agree. People seems to pile the blame on the coaches and not the whole team; the players have to be responsible for the mistakes and sub par performance. You may still have the best play calling but things won't work if the team cannot execute, and then the coaches look bad.

Not against Auburn and Florida. Few yards, and few points.

    Agreed

Blame the head coach for instituting such a terrible formation and then insisting upon sticking with it.

2 of JR's INTs during the Florida game were passes that should have been caught but the WRs tipped them to the Florida DBs. That and Special teams lost us the game.

We should see against Tennessee if Russell can play a consistent, full game against solid competition.
