Love it. Have to say I am not that upset with the way LSU played last night. Not sure if JJ is ready to lead the tigers to an SEC west champ. If our D plays the way they did last night and improves than we have a chance. Need to work on OL and DL and maybe look at the QB position closer. IMHO......
:geaux: Absolutely!! We're 5 - 1 and just lost to the defending BCS National Champions by 10 points who also happen to have the best player in college football as their QB. They also returned 21 of 22 starters from that National Championship Team. Disasterous!!! So yes, definitely time to fire the entire staff. Especially the head coach who has won 80% of his games with a 47 - 12 record in his fifth year. Take a deep breath and settle down. :LSU231:
No changes at all. It would be better if we could keep all the coaches we have for enough years that they develop a system. We have personnel problems, we have no coaching problem nor talent problems. We just need the right players on the field.
Sorry armybass but I would have to disagree, I think we need one coaching change, we need a new offensive coordinator, the whole offensive scheme is easy to read, have you been seeing the offense trying to run the option, high school teams run it better, play calling has been terrible and predictable on offense, most are blaming it on Jefferson because he is green but and some of is because of him but I blame most on coaching, play scheme, and play calling on offense. JMHO!!
No excuse for not finding out before posting something ridiculous. I didn't follow LSU football in the 1950's either, but I know what went on.
no but it may be time to unplug les miles headset from the wireless receiver and let him go bobby bowden on the offensive plan. because well, its nothing short of offensive. and the defense needs to learn how to make a stop and get off the field on 3rd down. UF ran 3 basic plays all night yet we did little to control the game.
Crowton has to work with what he has got. This was supposed to Perrilloux's senior year, instead he had to work with three green quarterbacks in two years. Crowton knows his business, this quarterback is just not very good.
For the past x years we've recruited at the highest level. Both of our lines were inadequate last night, markedly not up to the task of defeating or holding our own against our opponent. Florida's offense drove on us all night and our offense sputtered all night. The DL won a few battles but lost the war. This while Florida had one hand tied behind their back is disturbing. The OL had a more difficult task considering our QB is just not a threat to throw down the field. Opposing Ds challenge us to beat them throwing the ball, and we aren't capable and therefore face stacked odds against an average D (or worse), not to mention FU. Our QB play is bad for the second year in a row, yet we stick with one guy the whole game, the whole season. It feels to me that Miles is pulling a John Brady on us, except he has much more resources. Sure, Florida is the defending national champ, but we've been struggling up to this point and continued last night. Florida totally controlled the game despite having their best player nowhere near 100%. I just don't see, recruiting at the level that we have been, why we should struggle so mightily to field a competent offense. Our D is improving after the debacle of last season, but it isn't the juggernaut at this point that it was in the past. When the rallying cry is, "Next year," I think we really need to start asking, "Why?" and, "What are we really getting for one of the highest paid coaching staffs in the nation?" I don't see a NC contender on the field and I don't forsee one this season. Maybe next year.
Thats what I'm talking about. Hell, we just let #1 beat us by 10 points. Get a grip people. Our def. was great!! Yes, we need more blocking to get the run back and QB time to throw but we just played the best in the nation. come on.......:geaux:
I agree with this except that having QB play this poor 1.5 years after Perrilloux ditched is hard to defend. I can not understand why we are only playing 1 QB (either year).
