Is it a recruiting violation...........?

    No, Saban could get his own self in trouble if those former LSU players can be considered to be athletic representatives of Alabama. If Bama transported them there and they accompanied the Alabama coach on a recruting trip, they might be considered Alabama athletic representatives.

    "An individual is considered to be a representative of [a universities] athletics interests (booster) just by being a former student, friend, or fan. Once an individual is identified as an athletic representative, the person retains that identity indefinitely."

    Accompanying a Bama coach on a recruiting trip would definitely make you a friend of the University of Alabama, in my opinion. That is if any of this is true, right now it is just an allegation by some contact of Dandy Don. I just don't see Nick risking NCAA violations by bringing along anybody that ain't a Bama coach. Nick is no fool and Bama has no taste for even minor violations, right now.
