I do. I am in favor of suspending the constitution until this crap is under some semblance of control. Let the police bang down my door and search. I've got nothing to hide. And while I'm fixing my door they can be banging down other doors and hauling people away. Those that would do us harm are taking advantage of our freedoms and it's time to put a stop to that.

of course, i am all in favor of the patriot act. i would happily sacrifice some of my freedom for security. people say our security must not come at the expense of our freedom, and that is nice to say, but i think that isnt very realistic. more intrusive searches and such are necesaary and i will deal with it. i have nothing to hide either. if i looked arabic, i would understand that i was going to be investigated and searched more, and that would makse sense to me.

what i didnt understand was how ramah implied that we on this board were naive, and casting himself as the world-wise traveler that knew something we didnt.

he could fly to mars and his location still has no relevance to how naive we are.

I don't agree. He's in the middle east which gives him a perspective unavailable to us.

our status as naive or not naive is unaffected by his location. unless he is magic.
