I had an appointment with a specialist tomorrow morning. I've been trying to schedule it for three months. Seems like specialists think they're so special that you can't see them without a referral. The idiots who told me they were going to refer me are incompetent so they didn't. So anyway I get a call this morning. Doctors are overstressed during the virus shit they haven't had time for golf and ski vacations. So they rescheduled me for May 12th. They had already called the other day saying nobody but patients would be allowed to enter the building and that they were screening everybody before you could go into the building. I didn't really want to go tomorrow. I don't want to sit in a waiting room with other people. I don't want any contact with doctors or any other possibly infected medical personnel. The see the doomed every day. Some of it could have rubbed off.
Well, Fort Worth is fucked now. Waiting to see if we are classified as Oil and Gas and can operate. The Dallas letter only mentioned Oil Refining, but that is vague as hell. Hoping we are exempt. Terrant county is expected to follow the same guidelines.
I think they are bullshiting us on the number of recoveries as well. I only saw one chart and it had 45k cases with 245 recovered. Has to be crap because they can't scare the pants off of you if they don't lie.
I have a pretty bad ass job. I don't make an ass ton of money but I do okay and you simply cannot beat my hours. It's a small business and if this shit continues they will fold. I will be so pissed off!
Yea, I am not trying to toot my own horn or anything, but I am responsible for about 60% of our business. We are 100% oil and gas focused. Its bad enough we are dealing with low oil price, which we can manage, what we cant manage is the government.... As part of the management team, we have decided we will take home 20% less to not lay anyone off. I am not sure the math adds up if they put restrictions on our work... The wording is very vague on what is "essential". In Dallas it states Oil Refining.... Like, What about all the businesses that support "oil refining????" We have people running the show that dont have a fucking clue. The owner of the company could literally close the doors and retire. He doesn't need to put up with this shit. I despise people that make him the "bad guy". He employs around 150 hourly workers when he doesn't have to....
We had a conference call with our sales team this morning and this was brought up. My company is based out of Ohio and they issued the same sort of "essential" thing. Turns out it has no teeth and basically any business can tie itself to something else that will make it "essential"
