We are too big of a country for mass tests. It isn't our strategy. How many times must this be explained?

If we had 51 million people ONLY in our country sure, but we have over 320 Million....

You are the literal definition of a sky screamer.

The act of going to a hospital to get a test will literally infect more.

I watched this dude with little to mild symptoms report that he went to 3 different hospitals in New York to get a test. Dude probably infected 10 people on his own. He got his test though and was told to stay home. Yay!

@Winston1 more than 20 years ago, probably around 1997, I attended a professional military education seminar about the expectation that a nasty virus would come out of central china and ravage the world. So if you blame trump you have to blame every president since then for lack of preparedness.

No, .... ya gotta have someone administer the test. You have to have people knowledgeable in how to interpret the test.. why do you think it was just the CDC performing the test at first? Hospitals can beg for test all they would like, doesn’t mean they can use them. Further .... 1 million, 4 million, either is only <1% of the population. You ship the available test to where they are needed. Problem is, you can’t know where they are needed until a flare up. And then, even with the test, all the test do is verify after the fact people who’ve been infected. There is 3-4 day run up with no symptoms. It is not feasible to expect we can test all 321 million people in the US at once. Just can’t be done.

You can be sure that the skyrocketing numbers in NY are purely a result of testing bias. De (it’s never my fault) Blasio hesitated to shut his damn den of idiots down and it is costing them. Places like W Virginia are lucky, cause contact is way less. CA is doing a pretty good job ..... De Blasio ... not so much. N.O. Didn’t act as quickly as they should have either. The first case here in AR was a person returning from Mardi Gras. All of these big cities have administrations who people like you are letting off the hook, all because you hate Trump.

It's Bubba Clinton's fault. He should have nuked China. By then he had had plenty of practice killing lots of people.

Dude - where are you getting only 1500 tests have been run. As of Friday morning the hospital I work at had done:

3,172 COVID screening tests so far, 2/3 of the population screened has been ages 55 years or less, and 1.6% of tests for this population have been positive for COVID-19. The other 1/3 of the population is ages 55 years or older and 4.2% of these screenings have returned positive results for COVID-19

People are freaking out and getting tested using up the tests so now they aren't testing unless you are a healthcare worker, are imuno-compromised or have severe symptoms.

What if a person had visited a high risk area? New Orleans, New York, Seattle?

If you are posting crap just to "trigger" people then shame on you. This is a serious crisis we are in and no one needs to make light of it. You are one sick individual.
