you are lying and might consider quitting it.

he very specifically said the hoax was the allegations of mismanagement. he clarified this multiple times. he did not say the virus was a hoax.

the claim that he called the virus a hoax is a stupid lie that has been repeated maliciously by the left.

its difficult to discuss things when people keep lying, as you are doing now.

I hope you are correct. But if you don't believe the media, what about Trump? Do you believe him? Because he is currently holding press conferences daily to explain how we are going to cope medically and financially. The markets are reacting accordingly.

I agree with you or hope you are correct on all of these.

You just took my comment out of context so let's not get to uppity about whose being honest and who isn't. Here is the entire sentence:
Whether he specifically called the virus a 'hoax' or just used it in context to insinuate that it was a hoax, there is no denying that he didn't seem to be serious about the nature of what we are facing.
This is not a lie. If you'd like me to get more specific about the times he downplayed the seriousness of this, I can.

However I am not and I did not. All that you've really proven here is that you are capable of taking my words out of context to create a lie of your own and use that lie to call me a liar. Cute.

you left out the "pants on fire" part....pull it together

    again, you are lying.

he never called the virus a hoax or used it in context to insinuate a hoax.

    pay attention here:

the hoax he was describing was the allegations by the democrats that he was mismanaging the virus.

he was never describing the virus itself as a hoax. he clarified this multiple times and yet you and the media repeat the lie repeatedly.

is this something you are capable of understanding or will you just repeat lies?

i can explain this with more analogies and help you to understand if necessary to help you stop lying.

    https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/donald-trump/trump-calls-coronavirus-democrats-new-hoax-n1145721

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. — President Donald Trump accused Democrats of “politicizing” the deadly coronavirus during a campaign rally here on Friday, claiming that the outbreak is “their new hoax” as he continued to downplay the risk in the U.S.

“Now the Democrats are politicizing the coronavirus,” Trump said. “They have no clue, they can't even count their votes in Iowa.”

“This is their new hoax,” Trump continued, adding that attacking the White House’s response to the coronavirus had become the Democratic Party’s “single talking point.”

He is having to deal with the nations self inflicted wound, ..... making this more than what it is. The economic damage from this irrational response will be far more damaging than the virus itself.

IF .... I would have been running the show, I would have deployed two directives.
    1) lock down the nursing homes, and emphasize to people with heart disease that they need to avoid crowds and insist their family and friends who attend large events stay away.
    2) Instructed the other 90% that there is this nasty cold going around that is very contagious, and that they need to be vigilant about hand washing and avoid crowds when possible. If you get the cold, stay home for 7 days. In this part I would pass a bill to enhance paid leave, which I think we need anyway.
