Well for most the cost is $187. For me it works out to $28. Why you ask? Well I am over 70 and Benn skiing there for 30+ years which gets me the Silver Pass. $580 for the year and I ski for 14 to 18 days. I do know Ski Cooper but never skied there. 10th Mountain Division is legendary. I think Vail was started by one of those guys. Sorry you aren't able to ski anymore. My days are probably numbered too. I am blessed with a healthy body for my age it amazes me how I have lasted. Is it your knees?
I think that is pretty close to where we go .. Monarch Mountain. Same .. no lines, cheap, charming. Not a really big place, but heck ... with no lines, we get in more skiing that we got at Steamboat. ..... though, I"ll say, I did love Steamboat 20 years ago.
We rented a friend's house outside of Durango last summer for a week. The house was only about 10 minutes from Purgatory. That was such a gorgeous place.
"Surprised if you have the guts," why are you like this, guy? Is every interaction a competition for you? Are you like this in the physical world? I don't have three hours but I did seek out a synopsis and it's interesting for sure. I still feel confident in my decision to vaccinate. I am very encouraged by innovations in treatment. 1-2% fatality rate, yep. I don't know the rate of people who were hospitalized, or just generally got really sick for a week. But it's way higher than 2%. That's what I don't want. So far, so good. Both vaccinated and unvaccinated Americans should be left alone to deal with the consequences (if any) of their choice. Stay healthy Tiger Fans.
You'll have to forgive him. He's used to dealing with unreasonable people like Rex. What you wrote sounds reasonable enough to me.
we lose some context in this format, I think. we do neglect the principle of positive intent more often than not though…
Did you get a chance yo go to the hot springs? Also the Animas River is quite a sight. Rumor is Butch Cassidy and Sundance hung out there so did the western writer Lois L'Amour.
Knees and backs are the main ski injuries. The snowboarders injuries are more wrist and hips. I am just very fortunate to have great knees and a strong back. Went to Steamboat 2 years ago and have been there at least 9 times. I like it a very laid back cowboy town. What made skiing a passion for me was the days of Hot Dog and freestyle skiing in the 70's. I used to do a lot of that mogul skiing and some aerials when I was in my twenties and thirties. Now that I am older I keep my skis on the snow and have become a powder hound. I still ski moguls but only in certain conditions and days. I will dedicate a couple of runs to you this year.
What will probably be my last post re: COVID-19..... Please meet a man who contracted COVID-19 and became very sick, to the point that he thought it might be all over. After recovery, of course, he had antibodies. He also had unfettered access to a lot of doctors and scientists. He decided to get vaccinated, and boosted.
