Texas border city says more than 7,000 COVID-positive migrants released since February, 1,500 in last week

The Texas border city of McAllen says more than 7,000 COVID-positive migrants have been released into the city since February, and more than 1,500 in the past week -- the latest example of growing concern about the potential impact of the border crisis on efforts to control COVID-19 in the U.S.

In a statement announcing the building of new temporary shelters to deal with a "rapidly escalating" surge of immigrants being released into the border city, McAllen warned of the release of thousands of migrants with COVID-19.

TEXAS BORDER CITY PUTS UP TEMPORARY SHELTERS TO COPE WITH ‘RAPIDLY ESCALATING’ MIGRANT SURGE

"Since mid-February of 2021 there have been over 7,000 confirmed COVID-19 positive immigrants released into the city of McAllen by [Customs and Border Protection], including over 1,500 new cases in the past seven days," the statement said.

The stunning numbers come amid increasing concerns from Texas and elsewhere about the potential impact of the massive numbers of migrants coming to the border on the efforts to control the COVID-19 pandemic within the United States.

Shane ... ol buddy ol pal .... I'm not quite sure that you fully understand what Dr. Malone was saying.

But .. here's the dill pickle!
    1) ADE is primarily a threat when an antibody is a "nonsense" antibody. IOW, it binds to the virus but does nothing to deactivate it. IMPORTANTLY ... the Vitamin D/A advice I've been giving everyone is an important component of this. There are two paths of ADE, phagocytic reproduction (when your pack man cell eat the virus, and the virus replicates in them and then releases them) ... and the more relevant .. is the stimulation of ..... drumroll .... ARDS! An exaggerated inflammatory response resulting in massive tissue damage. This is what COVID is doing anyway. As Malone noted, SARS 2 causes a flu, but towards the end of the infection, our own immune response overreacts and starts blowing up stuff. This is where it is important to take your Vitamin D and A. These two vitamins directly control this response, regardless. The well designed data continue to show this benefit.

    2) Dr. Malone is omitting an important aspect. If you have been vaccinated, ok, you have a specific immunity for the spike protein. However, upon infection, it will stimulate a NEW immune response that will be a natural immune response. With each subsequent infection, you will have another and another and another immune response, building up an arsenal of immune cells that will attack the virus at multiple targets. For the susceptible, its important for them to live, and the vaccine is helping them do that. On that note, I totally agree with him that we need to vaccinate 100% of the high risk groups.

    3) I think he is jumping the shark a tad on this "mutation" stuff. The issue is ... SARS-2 can't .... repeat CAN"T alter its binding site too much, else it will cease to infect any cell. In fact, this is what happened with SARS-1 back in 2003. Each version became weaker and weaker. NOW .. consider this. This damn SARS-2 was undoubtedly "engineered" in a laboratory to achieve maximum binding affinity for the human ACE2 receptor. It really has nowhere to go. The Delta has increased replication rate a bit, but there's just not a lot of head room here ... AND .. the antibody continues to work against it. In breakthrough cases, as Malone did note, it is a matter of inadequate immune response, either because the immunity is waning (past 6 mo), or more specifically, the PATIENT has a weak immune system to begin with. A report came out noting that it's still the old, sick unhealthy people who are the overwhelming targets of COVID, vaccinated or not.

Just doing my job as the resident Microbiologists/Pharmacologist to make sure people understand this stuff.

I'm STILL not getting the shot. I will put my T cell immunity against that shitty gene therapy any day!

That vaccine will end up killing more people than covid. Oh and then there is this!

I totally support your decision. I wasn't going to get the shot, simply because there was no need for me to get the shot.(I am a hermit) BUT .. company is sending me on a flight to a big city this fall for an international convention. .... I just did the risk assessment for myself ... me, stuck on a plane with a bunch of stupid people .. then attending a convention with stupid people from all over the world ..... hmmmmmm. I feel confident in my Vitamin Tx and overall health, but a little insurance against STUPID PEOPLE never hurts.

I just wish STUPID had an antigen. If we could vaccinate people against STUPID, the whole world would be better!! :D
