    My mom and dad were born and raised in Kinston. Mom was a "Pepsi girl" in the 50's. How are things in the BBQ capitol pf the universe?

    That's hilarious. BTW we say the same about Texas. Great eating, awesome food but not BBQ. Just cooked over open flame with some smoke.

    no no no. slow smoked . indirect heat. dry rub and the flavor is not covered up by sweet or tangy goop. I heard they baste the meat with pepsi in NC.
