maybe it'd peaked, but was still going strong, I could easily post a 100 really good '80s songs

for me, looking back it was, Nirvana,.. they had a couple of good songs, music was progressing along, rocking along, pretty much like it'd done for 40 years,.. going back to who, John Lennon, You, and I believe started it, Chuck Berry,.. the golden age of rock and roll,.. guitars riffing through the decades,.. then Nirvana,.. I didn't really give a shit about him, but when cobain disgraced us all, that's come to symbolize the end of the rock era for me, maybe it died earlier, but I know it hasn't been the same since.
