    Smooth discussion?

Have you EVER wondered why if I fart in my pants you can still smell it? Well, because my butthole particles are floating around in the air because they when through my underwear and pants. 2 LAYERS!

What do you think COVID does?

Again a let’s say shitty comparison. Fart gas is composed of hydrocarbon molecules which are smaller than the virus. Also the mask stops the moisture (spit, etc) where the virus is concentrated. That reduces transmission of the virus which is the objective. It’s been shown that the smaller the amount of virus transmitted the less chance of infection.

How many times do you spit on people when you talk?

You both know way too much about the physiology and chemistry of farts.

Talk, cough or sneeze all carry varying volume of moisture usually with high virus content. That is why the mask is helpful.
BTW I’ve never heard anyone say masks are 100% effective but provide significant protection. Enough protection to make it worthwhile

    Here's a fun game:
    1. Go to google
    2. In the search window, put in a random number
    3. by the time you get to the second digit it will add the words "new cases" and can give you a story reporting that many new covid cases somewhere. This will apparently work with any number from 1 to 999

Google is like the Catholic Church in the Middle Ages before they let people actually read the Bible and even translate it.

If you control the information, you can control the interpretation.

you are right. It is not the end all of defeating coronavirus. It is part of the holy trinity of minimal protection. Masks along with wiping your ass and social distancing are the minimum things to do if you are going to be in a crowded situation.

Once had an 8th grader walk into class and say, "Mr C. Your classroom smells like butt."

I said, "Thank you. How do you know what butt smells like?"

The roar of "Burn!!!" from the other students was deafening.
