So Spain locked down hard and is a hotspot again. And then there is Sweden... 'Sweden had one of the most relaxed COVID-19 lockdowns in the world. There’s growing evidence that it helped it weather 2020’s economic storm better than anywhere else.' here: https://smartnews.link/a/3cBM or you can directly access the content using this link here: https://smartnews.link/w/EvvJ
The only good news is that the vaccine trials appear to be going well. The Oxford vaccine appears to excite both antibody and t-cell reaction which gives hope for longer term immunity.
That's good it's doesnt change the fact that the country is still running around like little scared children worrying about the boogeyman.
It would have to be teacher only in the class but even that has problems. The biggest problem I see is transportation. -Putting that many kids on a bus. Some Parishes toyed with only a percentage riding but that’s hard since some families have one kid where others have several. -What to do with kids who have a temp when they’re checked after being dropped off. So many issues
Went to a meeting here in Henderson County NC and the ultimate decision was to do at home learning for 6 weeks and to re-evaluate then. I would say that the majority of people there, including myself, supported Option B which was to have the kids attend two days one week and three days the next with remote learning on the days when they are not present. Everything would work fairly well but it was the logistics of getting kids to school and home that made things come undone. The other was what happens when we learn that one kid is positive? Do we shut down the school for two weeks? Should the parents all quarantine for two weeks also? What do we do with a kid who has a fever when they arrive? At the end of the day it was decided that it would simply create more problems for parents as we all try to get back to work in a responsible way. Hopefully we will stabilize after the first six weeks and we can move forward.
I hear ya, college football is the only sport I follow closely anymore. A little college baseball and maybe some hockey if the local team is in the playoffs. Golf? I haven't been able to play since this rona thing started (too much work). Have guns and not worried about that part. Maybe could use one or two more though. Worried about them taxing/taking all the freekin' money and property I worked myself to the bone to make over the years.
Got a ton of ammo for what I have, think I do need a couple more of those ammo processors though. As for the other "kneel for God and stand for the flag"
