I haven't had a flu shot in years. My kids usually just get me sick enough to not catch anything major. However, they get all their shots, not sure on the flu shot this year tho for them. I am not crazy, I am just lazy for getting my own ass to the doctor. Also, since I have started TRT and boosted my Testosterone, my allergies have gone away and I cant remember being sick thus far. Generally, we have a pretty good diet and get all our vitamins and active. Not too many sick days in our house.
I totally agree with social distancing. My beef is, with 30K deaths from the Flu, why aren’t we doing the same thing for the Flu. I’m well aware that we are trying to prevent the surge. We don’t have the vents and beds to take care of that many people. ..... because, all the beds are occupied by Flu patients. Practically speaking, we just need to engage in better behaviors to protect the vulnerable with regards to COVID19 and the Flu.
Too lazy us no excuse. You don't have to see a doctor. You can get the shot at almost any drugstore or Walmart. Your insurance will probably pay for it and if not it's only $20.
I cant remember the last time I had the flu tbh. If I was a unhealthy piece of shit I might think about it, but I dunno. Once I got on a healthy diet and got my Test levels fixed, I just dont get sick. Maybe I do get what other would call sick. I travel a lot and already use more hand sanitizer than I probably should. Very clean person. Once I feel anything abnormal with me, I usually find a solution with a quickness. Honestly cant remember the last time I was down for more than a day. Most of the times I eat something that gives me the liquids...
Isnt the shot just a strain they are guessing to be prevalent of millions. You didnt get hepatitis all these years it doesnt mean your flu shot fixed that does it.
because its much more contagious i suppose. and the overrunning of the hc system is apparently the latest talking point everyone is repeating. so lets go with that.
All I know is that I haven't gotten the flu since I began getting yearly shots. That's good enough for me.
It’s good you get the Flu Shot. Even if it misses the mark, it can never hurt to get it. I’m like 123 ... I’m just too fricken lazy to get one, and by the time I really get to thinking about it, it’s March and useless. AND .... I’m kinda of a lab rat in an experiment of one. I do vitamin D, And a host of other vitamins, as well as take Elderberry and Oil of Oregano. I also have a script of tamiflu in my cabinet in case I ever get flu symptoms, so I can start taking it within the first 6 hours. So far so good. Haven’t had the Flu in decades, or if I did, it didn’t last more than a day and was really mild.. But being 57, I really need to get off my ass and get one.
I get the flu and the pneumonia shot every year. Early. Perhaps more important, I taught 8th grade math for 11 years. First 2 or 3 I was kinda sick all school year. But over time I got sick less and less. Last 4 or 5 years I don’t remember anything.
