She's studying to be a teacher, like her mother. UNT is a great school, and a huge one, 40,000 students or so. She wants to get back and live in her sorority house, and, yes, attend the drunken frat parties.
eh, not buying it. The key difference is that Sweden protected their at risk population and weren't so utterly stupid to put Covid patients in nursing homes (and have exposed medical workers go back and forth from hospitals to nursing homes, and the homes of elderly infirmed) Locking down the majority, relatively healthy working population (which is equivalent to about getting the flu for them) was/is a crock of shit.
How long and how many people died of smallpox before Pasteur invented the vaccine. Medical science has way more to work with now. Pasteur worked alone in his lab using his own money. Now there are hundreds of scientific specialists in every related field with billions of dollars to work their magic with.
That the Swede's trusting their government and listening to rules allow them to not lock down with success. No it's because the risk for the vast majority of the healthy population of any country is very very low risk, and they didnt murder old people in nursing homes like some areas of the US did - NY especially.
Uhmmm . . . . Check this out: Anger in Sweden as elderly pay price for coronavirus strategy https://www.theguardian.com/world/2...as-elderly-pay-price-for-coronavirus-strategy
And yet our curve is lower than theirs. Hindsight is always 20/20. No one knew anything about the virus except it was highly contagious and it killed people. And Americans are too damned selfish to do what they should without the shelter in place orders. Our deaths would have sky-rocketed. Hell - our deaths would have been much lower if these idiot governors had not sent Covid-19 people back to nursing homes to infect everyone else
I hope you right for your sake but there have been perfectly healthy people who have gotten this with serious symptoms.
