Essen, Jefferson Hwy, and Lobdell are nightmares and so is Sherwood Forest. Only reason I would be going to those areas would be to go to Podnah's. I ate at the one on Sherwood about 7 or 8 months ago when I had to go pick up my nephew from work because his car was broke. I used to go to the one on Essen right across the railroad tracks a lot before they burned it down for the insurance.
today trump respoded to a chinese-american reporter lady by asking her to ask whatever she was asking to china. she acted all offended and asked why she said that to her. he sais he wasnt talking to her specifically. trump may believe or know that she is a chinese agent. this sounds crazy, but bear with me. if you are chinese or speak chinese, for example as a university prof in chinese or american who lived overseas or something, and you reach any level of success in government or media etc, you will DEFINITELY be contacted by the chinese government and recruited. this is very common. one of my closest buds in new york was a chinese dude that worked for bloomberg and came to the US when he was 10. he told me all about this, and i have read alot about it. if you list mandarin as a skill on linkedin, chinese compamies will contact you and offer you very lucratie side gigs an trips to china. then they will draw you in slowly, if they can and want to. also of course there are the deep ties china has within our university system. i think its fair to suspect any very successful chinese person, especially in media. is that racist? who cares, go fuck yourself
I am pretty certain I’ll never make it to Podnuhs, but you got to love a place with a beef plate, a jumbo beef plate and a three meat plate! Dayum!!!
In as trying as life can be in this economy, I was offered a job today with a significant salary increase from a company that despite a small mountain bike shock manufacturing hub in Taiwan, has zero dealing with china. America. Still open, kinda.
Don't they make Toytas in California? There is a huge Nissan plant just north of Jackson, Mississippi
People that I know, who have taken new jobs in bad economic times, have always done very well. And even more so when economy comes back. I’m very impressed.
i love podhuhs. my friends tell me i am an unsophisitcated clod and baton rouge has zero good BBQ and i wouldnt know good food from a raw dead possum. but i dont care, i think the brisket sandwich there is delicious
anything that comes out of taiwan is good in my opinion. taiwan and hong kong are awesome and their existence pisses off the chinamen, which is good. one more note about china. the chinese know we are pusses about racism and use that against us all the time. and again, they are deeply entrenched in media. when you see a story about asians getting discrimnated against because of the virus, i think its bullshit, chinese communist propaganda. "dont call it the chinese virus its not called that" fuck yourself i call it the wuhan flu if you dont beleive me think again about quick the NBA had all their players on message last year. a chinaman snapped his fingers and within hours lebron is on reciting his lines. nba is on espn and espn is abc disney. disney, and every almost other american media company (probably not fox) is in chinas pocket.
So there is a new order for everyone working at the White House has to wear a mask. White House directs staff to wear masks after officials contract coronavirus WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The White House on Monday directed all people entering the West Wing, where the daily operations of President Donald Trump’s administration are carried out, to wear masks after two aides tested positive for the coronavirus, administration officials said. The new guidelines, released in a memo to the president’s staff on Monday afternoon, reflect a tightening of procedures at the highest levels of the U.S. government over fears that Trump and Vice President Mike Pence could be exposed to the virus. Trump’s military valet and Pence’s press secretary both tested positive for the coronavirus last week. The 73-year-old president said on Monday he did not think those cases suggested the White House system had broken down. “I felt no vulnerability whatsoever,” Trump said, adding he felt the situation was controlled “very well.” Still, the president said he would discuss maintaining some distance from Pence, perhaps by communicating with him by phone, for a period of time. Pence worked at the White House on Monday but did not attend a news conference held in the Rose Garden. Officials who attended wore masks, and speakers used a different podium from the one used by Trump. ABC News first reported about the memo, which also said unnecessary visits from other parts of the White House complex to the West Wing area, which includes the Oval Office and work space for senior advisers, are being discouraged. Officials who work near the president have been getting tested for the coronavirus but previously had not been wearing masks on a regular basis. “Common sense has finally prevailed,” one senior administration official told Reuters. Trump has been resistant to wearing a mask himself and has not put one on in public, though he said he tried some on backstage during a visit to a mask factory in Arizona last week. On Saturday he met the top leaders of the U.S. military, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and members of his national security team in the White House Cabinet Room. The officials did not wear masks but had been tested for the virus in advance, a Pentagon spokesman said, adding that social distancing measures appeared to have been met. Secret Service agents in the room wore masks. The president is in the age group that is considered high risk for complications with the coronavirus, which has killed more than 80,000 people in the United States alone and ravaged countries and economies worldwide. Staff members including Jared Kushner, the president’s senior adviser and son-in-law, wore masks on White House grounds on Monday. The White House said last week it was stepping up precautions for people who spend time around Trump and Pence, both of whom have resumed travel outside of Washington. The two men are being tested for the virus daily. “In addition to social distancing, daily temperature checks and symptom histories, hand sanitizer, and regular deep cleaning of all work spaces, every staff member in close proximity to the president and vice president is being tested daily for COVID-19 as well as any guests,” White House spokesman Judd Deere said in a statement. After Pence’s spokeswoman, Katie Miller, tested positive for the virus last week, Trump was asked whether people in the West Wing would begin to wear masks. He responded that people already were doing so. But he and his guests that day had not donned masks, and staff in the West Wing were not wearing them either. Miller is married to Stephen Miller, a senior White House aide and speech writer for the president. Some who had contact with Katie Miller have gone into partial quarantine. An administration official said Pence worked from the White House on Monday but would be maintaining distance from the president for the immediate future, in consultation with the White House medical unit. “We can talk on the phone,” Trump said. LeBron is a pussy. Michael Jordan, Larry Bird and Magic Johnson would have all said fuck you, I'll call it what I damn well want. Charles Barkley would have punched somebody out.
