Learn to understand what you read. I just pointed out that a vast majority of the money is being spent on other things like bailouts and stimulus checks. Are you ready to die so your neighbor can get $1200? Are you ready to die so Delta can keep planes in the air.

Nowhere close to $4 trillion is being spent directly to develop a vaccine or a cure. They can spend billions on that and it's still a drop in the bucket.

At the end of the day, no matter how you want to slice it, we will have spent over $4 trillion because some 60k people died.

I don’t know what me dying has to do with anything of this.

The death of one person is a tragedy. The deaths of millions is a statistic. It's easy to take any position you want if you aren't the one affected.

The economy affects us all. That is why I have an opinion about it.

There is a lot of obvious common sense being thrown out the window here. This virus is not Ebola. It’s not even SARS or MERS. It’s just very contagious and if you are old, fat and have diabetes, a heart condition, or lung condition, you need to take precautions. I don’t agree with closing down the economy for a prolonged period of time, BECAUSE, as is being illustrated, there will always be the people who ignore the lockdown. It’s just like wearing mask, they are only good if EVERYONE wears one. Otherwise, you are just wasting your time. Americans are a very non- compliant population, and lockdowns won’t work.

We would have been better to invest the money in solutions. YOU KNOW that there is going to be a lot of waste and fraud with this 4 Trillion Christmas gift. At the VERY LEAST, the 4 Trillion should have been used to preserve jobs and paychecks, not welfare and unemployment, ie., the fed helps the employer make payroll for those businesses that can demonstrate the need. I’m still getting a paycheck, I don’t need a check. But I’ll get one. Wife and I are thinking of giving it to her hair dresser who’s been put out of business by this over hyperventilating over this virus.

I Have One BIG Question. Where in the Constitution is it written that the Federal Government is supposed to protect the public from Acts of God or Nature? It’s not there because it is not possible.

For 20 Billion, just a fraction of the 4 Trillion, we could purchase a years worth of vitamin D for every person in the Nation. Prevent Vitamin D deficiency, you prevent ARDS, which is what kills people with COVID19 . The people who die after that were likely on their way out anyway. I don’t mean to be insensitive here, but just how many people dying of COVID19 were going to die in the next 6 mo anyway? So, it’s not just 66 Million per life saved, a good portion of it is 66 Million for an extra 6 mo.

Lastly ... does this piss y’all off? Apparently, if you die in a car crash, and test positive for covid, the cause of death is covid. If you die of pneumonia, and do not test positive for covid ... but you had “symptoms” consistent with covid (ya know, the same symptoms of all flu like illnesses), then that is counted as a covid death.

And .... here is the money line. These guidelines were just released in April. SO ... is it any surprise that the deaths from covid suddenly jumped 3 days ago. Just magically skyrocketed from 1000 to 2000?
