Do you object to the government spending billions to keep our borders secure? If we had depended on sone ragtag group of self appointed militia with hunting rifle and shotguns we would be speaking German on the east coast and Japanese on the west.

You never know what is going to happen and shit always happens. A very large portion of that $66 billion you talk about isn't being spent to save lives. It's being spent to give everybody $1200. $1200 isn't going to help anybody for more than a month. And the billions being "loaned" to businesses that will never be paid back. Let the airlines go bankrupt. Some rich guy will buy the planes for pennies on the dollar and start his own airline.

 

Not my house but you can't have the fire department basing which houses they are going to save on the value of the house.

Do you think it actually costs 4 trillion to treat and deal with COVID victims? Because that is what we just spent.

You compare WWII to 60k people (potential) passing away from a virus...... I mean, wtf.


Like, heart disease kills 4 times that and we spend less as a government on that.
