Great questions and why nationalization of health care is such a hot topic. If you won’t bankrupt your family to save your life, should the government? I don’t think so. It’s a great topic for a discussion in this forum, just not in this thread.

 

What I’ve noticed is all those so called superior Universal Health systems in France, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Netherlands, etc, aren’t doing such a hot job at being superior to our crappy overpriced system where nobody can see a doctor.

 

I don't need the government to do shit for me or my family except stay the fuck out of my wallet.

 

It's easy for Pride123 to sit back and say he wouldn't spend it to save his life of the life of loved one. He doesn't have $66 billion dollars. Oh, he can say it's his money because he pays taxes. Bullshit. The few thousand dollars he paid in taxes WAS his money. That was before the government took it away from him with the threat of going to prison if he didn't hand it over.

No matter what any of us are for or against the govenment is going to spend at least a portion of the few thousand dollars they took from us on some things we disagree with. I would gladly spend the money that used to be mine, yours, his and everbody else but no longer is to not be dead or have a loved one not be dead.

I know Pride has a young daughter, He has mentioned attending her gymnastics things, What would he say to her if she looked at him and said "Daddy, would you spend the governments $66 billion dollars to keep me from being dead?"

 

Like it or not they are going to take money out of your pocket. If you can't pay they will put you in prison.

 

More than 98% live... the real question is would you bet that much money on something that only increased your chance by less than 2 %. Money would have been better spent protecting the ones who needed not thre ones that didnt.

 

In other words, you NEED the government because you are incapable of dealing with the challenges of life?
