It is not a false equivalency if you view it from the correct perspective. ..... that would be .... Known risk vs unknown risk. We accept risk everyday because they are known. We are good with X deaths due to this or that because we expect it. The ONLY thing making COVID19 different is we don’t know what the final risk will be. After a year or so, when we know COVID19 will be expected to take X thousand lives per year, we will accept that risk and go about our business.
What’s false about it? It’s a societal hazard. People live packed in a city like a can of tuna. You know, if you lived off the land in the middle of no where, you don’t have a COVID19 problem. You just lack access to all the modern things society has. We, as a society, traded that in for what we have today and it has its risks.
Exactly. It’s like living on the gulf and bitching about Hurricanes. We live so close that these things will happen.
I'm supposing that you are under the impression that I have fallen under the "others" category of this statement. Just for sport, what level of education do you suppose I've achieved? Imagine me telling you this about FOX news and Rush Limbaugh and every other conservative commentator when Obama was President. Yes we do and yes it would be. I'm sorry but this is a false equivalence. There is no comparing national security secrets with public service announcements. Like FOX did when Obama was President? Look, I am not implying that this is somehow revenge but every President is subject to his critics from the opposing party. It goes with the territory my friend. That is why we have media...to hold the powerful accountable. well that's not very nice
I get what you are saying...I really do. I just believe that during times like these it takes some collective work to survive and right now is one of those moments. This virus is after us all. On any other occasion I am with you.
Hopefully people just get healthier because it seems to take you out much much faster if you are unhealthy.
I've already answered this one but I'll say it again...Trump is not to blame for the virus. However, his response to it is fair game.
