My grandfather was 6'2" and rail thin but had diabetes. He loved ice cream liked noone I ever saw. The doctors would tell to give it up or the diabetes would kill him. he would tell them to kiss his ass. He lived to be 72 and died of heart attack in his sleep. I agree with attitude.

I know that under normal circumstances a new drug approval for usage of an existing drug for a different use requires the clinical trials and comparison between patients receiving the new drup and those given a placebo. But this is s dire emergency. Ramp up production of the drugs and give the real thing to everybody dick enough to need it. If jt kills a few of them they were going to die anyway.

Some drugs have adverse side effects for some users. If it was me who was sick give me the real drug now. No placebo please. I'm willing to take the chance.

Just make sure the patient or family member signs a waiver of concent. All we need is trillions of dollars of lawsuits.

Shane if all they’re doing is risking themselves and congregations that’s no problem. However they’re putting their neighbors and others at risk by spreading the virus. There’s a big difference between enjoying a freedom and using the freedom to harm others. Like carrying a gun I have one and will carry if needed but I can’t use it to harm others except in self defense.

It's not your call to tell someone where to worship my friend. Again large tracks of Texas are not impacted and I contend probably wont every be.

We are taking all of these measure to reduce the spread. Going to church will increase the spread, not reduce it.

NC .... you did not even understand or accurately reference the post in question. I said ONE specific action, and it IS a well founded action. Let me repeat it.

Stop releasing up to the minute case and death data!

You came back and injected your own straw man, (pride123 is absolutely correct) that the above or any of the supporting bullet points suggested that “only Trump should be able to communicate”. None of it says that. I don’t expect you to see the wisdom of such, but in psychological circles, they will tell you it is not healthy to sit and fixate on minute to minute coverage. This same message was made during Katrina when people were glued to the 24/7 news cycle. It accomplishes nothing but stress, anxiety and panic.

My comments about the Media in this regard are spot on. They sensationalize the data, creating stories, “dirty laundry” .... is the head dead yet? I said nothing about the media asking Trump questions, you made that up. I did say that the media “should” limit their stories in these cases to guidance and information ..... implying information that is helpful, not their run of the mill agenda driven shit. BUT ... my point stands, .... there is nothing useful in reporting the up to the minute case and death data. Even for myself, how much time could I save if that data was not available, hanging on every update. I’d have to find something more productive to do.

Lastly, the reference to China was just observational. It is true, China stopped accurately reporting, and to hear the WHO and China and our stupid Media, you’d think China whooped this thing. That is the power of manipulating the information. Information can be manipulated for the good or the bad. Your media is manipulating information for the bad. That is NOT what freedom of the press was supposed to accomplish.

If I attend a church with 10 or less people how is that different that me being in a group of 10 or less people. You are wanting to place everyone in the same basket when in reality most of Texas and the west in general is very rural and the infection have been localized to the most part in crowded cities.

I think COVID19 might be here to stay. Seems like the type for the "annual" checkin.
