News Is coronavirus a wild card?

I’ve noticed over the last week or so that they consistently report some piddly number, seemed like everyday it was either 54 or 55, and 5 or 10 deaths.

I think when the smoke clears, China will be the cause for the wide spread of this thing. No telling how many flights went in and out of Italy and New York from China before they fessed up and admitted this thing is bad. There is no way for anybody to prepare for something when you are being told one thing, but reality is quite different.

 

You are right. I bet when all this is analyzed, there will be hundreds that came in through JFK. However, I still don’t like the “China Flu" or "Wuhan Flu." No point in pissing them off since in all likelihood we will need them for something before we get through this.

I have mixed emotions about the “China Flu” Wuhan Flu. I think this is one of those places where the Media purposely framed the narrative to make Trump look bad.

I think Trump said it purely as an identifier in the beginning. From there, I think the Media took advantage of it to make it something nasty, screaming racism, and to make his comment something it was not. They did the same thing with the border wall issue, proclaiming it was racist, targeting Latinos. In fact the Media has NEVER missed an opportunity to report out of context to make Trump look like a racist, White Supremacist.

If the Media hadn’t set such a strong precedent on this issue, I may feel differently, but their history with Trump and calling him a racist is just to established for me to believe it was an innocent organic realization.

 

Ok ... let’s get real .... Trump will be blamed for it. Pure and simple. The Media is just too predictable.

And while this "Media" is blaming Trump for this particular pandemic, other people arep well aware of the " Hong Kong Flu" pandemic in '68-'69 & the "Asian Flu" pandemic of 1957.
