News Is coronavirus a wild card?

Has anyone filed for unemployment due to Covid-19? If so, is it hard, though I realize the process would be state specific. My daughter in NY cannot get to their website, my NC daughter has to start that up today.

 

The DES website has been severely overloaded. I have a few contractors who work for me that have made application since the new federal program allows the self-employed and contractors to draw unemployment. From what I've heard from them the site is hard to access and hard to stay on because it is continually kicking you off the site. Whatever they do, do not try calling...one of these guys told me he called and was on the phone for 4.5 hours. The web site, though difficult, seems to be the best route.

 

He would do it because we always send medical supplies to places that need them. A more fair question would were replacements ordered for the supplies. But getting answers that would help is not on the agenda.

I get what you are saying and it is true that we always try to help. Your response about ordering replacements is a fair point and we need answers to these questions. Sometimes in order to get the answers to our questions today we have to look at our actions from yesterday and grade them accordingly so that we aren't repeating them.

 

Sure hindsight we should have kept them for us. But that is just not what historically we have done.
The medias actions in regards to trump specifically in relation to this pandemic is pushing more and more people into his corner.

4 years ago I was anti trump, 2 years ago I was middle of the road and now he has my support. That is directly thre result of the media and the Democrats relentlessly hammering him over stupid shit.

 

We sent the supplies in late January and by then we knew what we were dealing with. The first case in the US was January 19th. Richard Burr is on tape around that same time telling donors that this would be more like the 1928 flu pandemic so it's not a stretch to say that the administration knew about it also. It's not like the Senate Intel Committee gets intel before the WH. Given this knowledge it seems to be a costly blunder. You can call it petty but when people are dying and the administration still cannot tell us when we will have enough supplies isn't just a little blunder.

I pay no attention to her....really don't care for her at all. Same category as Sean Hannity....peddlers of disinformation. I haven't seen that accusation from anyone else. You'll get no push back from me when it comes to her opinions though.
