Great article on H1N1 vs Corona https://inconvenientfacts.xyz/blog/f/pandemics-some-perspective-please…
Interesting article. I don’t think what Singapore did is possible or possibly desired here. To me the most important point is at the end of the piece where Singapore’s leader says this will be around for a long time....it’s a war not a battle. It will take time until enough are exposed until we have herd immunity or there’s enough vaccinated to have the same effect. https://apple.news/APQo9qWGnSNmXPRAwJHjy5g
Bull shit. He's been lying his ass off about them and he is still doing it today. In fact, yesterday he spent the better part of his so-called news conference accusing health care workers of stealing the masks and blaming them for the shortage! Last night even Tucker Carlson on FOX news said that they were lying about the masks and ventilators. Then we found out that in late January we sent almost 18 tons of medical supplies to China. Why? Our government knew how serious this was and still shipped that many health care supplies to China....of all places? https://www.foxnews.com/media/tucker-carlson-blasts-feds-medical-masks-coronavirus https://www.motherjones.com/coronav...even-as-senators-warned-of-virus-threat-here/
This would be hysterical if it weren't so ridiculous. So you are essentially saying that only Trump should be able to communicate with the American citizens? Isn't that what communist China does? Aha! Yes...you even listed it in your statement. Knowledge is power....limiting it is only a step toward authoritarianism and you are cheering it on. You should read what you write sometimes...
There are a host of factors involved and you've touched on a few of the more important ones. I was talking to a guy I went to college with who is a pharmacist. He offered some insight into what it really means to "flatten the curve." Although it allows the medical system to not be overwhelmed as badly, it prolongs the response to the virus by extending the life of it's existence. I also served with a guy who is the liason between the FDA and Homeland Security right now in NOLA and he said the same thing...said we'll be lucky to be out of this by the end of the year. Economically...in the short term we could be looking at something more akin to a depression but not a prolonged one like the Great Depression. I worry what this will all mean for small business in the interim. Washington can only print and pass out so much money before it is out of ammo. The Fed has basically shot it's wad already.
Be honest here, you have to admit, he would have been chastised for not sending them by the same media that is chastising him today for sending them.
He wins because he lies, obfuscates and cannot control his temper? At least I see what you think is a victory now. Makes sense...
Does that excuse it? You still have not addressed why he would do it. Does a President create his or her agenda based upon what the media might think or what is best for Americans? In fact, I would speculate that by now they would be fawning over the decision not to send supplies.
