That deal in Washington is weird. It was labeled a community transmission meaning, they have no idea whatsoever how the affected cases were transmitted. But yeah, have 1 gray hair on your head, cancel Seattle
It was actually a nursing home. Somebody brought it in there, then it spread like wildfire. Being as they are all already in a nursing home, they didn’t have much of a chance.
Yeah, and hopefully it ends there as they are not going out much. Should be pretty easy if the facility tracks visitors to stop the spread there. If not oh shit, get ready. Like that it seems to be slowing down in China, but they took pretty massive steps other countries might not make.
I saw something the other day where Chelsea Clinton was saying something about corona virus on twitter. Some guy responded with "more people have died trying to testify against your mother than ever will from this virus" That shit was epic, I wish I could find it.
So I think we’re seeing a lot of panicked reaction. I believe it will spread and end up as another seasonal flu like disease.....that is if the panic doesn’t kill us first. What I mean by that is what will the impact of these massive quarantines be? How much of a knife edge is our society balanced on? We can communicate, buy, sell etcetera over the internet but it takes real work to make and deliver it. How much disruption can we stand before we see real problems? I think we’re closer than we want to believe. What do you think?
Oh it is a panic alright. The markets will take a hit, a big hit, because of so much of our goods and services being dependent on China and S Korea and such. With those areas being hit harder it will be difficult to keep up. It doesn't help when you have idiots with access putting out videos and other statements preaching Armageddon is upon us. I saw one yesterday predicting that by May we won't have any available beds in the hospitals across the entire country. That sort of chicken little bullshit needs to be squashed. Hell Sams club was out of toilet paper 3 days ago. WTF, I guess people expect to be shitting their brains out or something.
Shane I agree with much of this. However you pointed out that we depend of trade with China and the rest of the world. This trade can’t easily be replaced. What happens when we can’t keep factories open here because we can’t get parts?
