Are you blind? When they are talking about depth charts and hoping to sneak in because of injuries, what do you think they are talking about?
Stating facts about depth charts does not mean we have insight as to why he is on his way out, if it is even true. I saw all that.
He is off for disciplinary reasons. Now whether or not those disciplinary reasons came up partly due to lack of PT, that's debatable and only those on the inside will know that.
His scholarship was not renewed. He was a disclipine problem, constant iproblems with campus officials. Had problems going to class and liked to sleep thru class. Was warned but did not change. Was not due to lack of playing time, just his personality. Saban said best talent at r.b. but could not get it going correctly.
Well said! I mean, really, the only reason Addai was even playing WR during the Spring is because our "Fab Freshman" (Doucet, Carter and Hawkins) weren't there to participate and Amp Hill is still recovering from his knee injury. In no particular order, come the fall, we'll have: Green, Doucet, Bowe, Carter, Hill, Craig Davis and Hawkins (and I know I'm missing some others), all at WR, with Addai primarily as an emergency WR. ...and... Vincent, Broussard, Carey and Addai as the RB's Steltz will remain our blocking FB As much as I like Barrington's ability, it's not fair for him to rot on our bench. Granted, I wouldn't want him to go to another SEC school--but since he's from Maryland, I would expect that that would be a place that would be atop his short list of places to transfer. Basically, he knew the situation here--that's evident from him asking to NOT be redshirted--which leads me to believe that the coaching staff had already told him that they would. He played a bit...got his championship ring, and not he wants to start....Well, with a potential Heisman Trophy candidate in Vincent, and depth at the RB position, Edwards wasn't going to be in the "featured back role" here for quite some time.
Gone? Where to?! Certainly not the NFL--they won't take Sophomores... and please, the kid's good, but I don't see him being a lst round pick next year. Unless, of course, Vincent flunks out of school, and that's the reason why you think he'll be gone...
