Oregon St. doesn't have any incentive to beat USC. Think about it, they win and knock USC out of the NC game and lower the prestige of the conference. The PAC-10 will still be known as the conference that has never had a team in the MNC game. Plus even with a win they are still going to Vegas.
USC will likely win, however look at the records against common opp. USC OSU Cal 31-34 35-21 ASU 37-17 45-17 Stan 44-21 43-3 Wash 43-23 17-38 WSU 43-16 30-36 Ariz 45-0 52-23 I have some small hope for OSU victory
YnotUS, All of those OSU wins were at home. They simply can't play on the road. A win Saturday would be one of the biggest victories in school history. But, Geaux Beavs!
Thanks for popping my balloon. Next you'll tell me there is no Santa Claus. Good Luck on getting that historic victory.
The Beavers DO have a tough defense ... maybe they'll put QB Leinart or WR Williams out of commission. And maybe OSU QB Derek Anderson will post some big numbers. And maybe the Beavers' O-line will give Jackson some room to break through for some major yardage. And maybe the OSU players from SoCal will want to show up their old buddies. So what I'm saying is: There's always hope!
I thought for a second I had gone to the wrong forum with all this talk of Trojan blowouts and Beavers gettin creamed...lol
