Wow! If you guys hate George Bush and the Republicans so much, so be it...but to say that terrorism doesn't exist or isn't a big issue just shows the stupidity of many Democrats. Maybe it will just kill a few thousand Americans...maybe they'll just blow up a school...maybe they'll just crash a few airplanes into 100+ story buildings...maybe they'll just try to destroy Washington, DC...maybe the stock market will just crash...maybe people will just stop flying for a few months... Hate all you want but don't be stupid. Realizing that terrorism is a very real threat doesn't make you a Bush or Republican supporter. I believe the majority of the global warming scare tactics are fictional but I still believe we could do much better to keep the environment clean. I don't intentionally litter, pour oil into drains, cut down trees, etc. to intentionally spite Democrats. Thank God that contrary to liberal efforts to downsize the military and take guns from law abiding citizens, this country is still strong and doesn't fear (at least yet) the government. But there's always HOPE and CHANGE! :hihi:

I am well aware of terrorism existing and I believe in fighting terrorism. What makes these people think we will ever have control of ME oil supplies? The rest of the world will sit back and allow us to "liberate" the entire middle east? Our economy won't implode on itself in the midst of such asinine and grandiose foreign entanglement? With China's technology graduates surpassing ours, eventually China will figure out alternatives and oil will become increasingly obsolete. :hihi: I disagree, but that's funny. China is a serious future threat, and Russia should be taken seriously as well. I think you are focusing too much on the present.

How do you figure that? Be specific! Don't just toss out silly phrases. Ritter spoke out against Bush's decision but he was acting in America's best interests. He KNEW it was a mistake based on false information and he told the President and was ignored. Our own expert on the ground! I'm astonished that you still back Bush's most obvious and disastrous failure in the light of all we have learned. You care more about George W. Bush than you do about the best interests of The United States of America and that is just sad.
In the big picture, yes but it does not threaten the existence of the United States, as the Russians still can. Just who do we retaliate against with terrorists? They have no nation we can demolish. They have no factories, military bases, or infrastructure to destroy or civil population to intimidate. Our President promised that any country harboring terrorists would become our enemy, but Pakistan shelters them and we have declared Pakistan an ally in the war on terror! The major blunder in responding to 9/11 was declaring a WAR on terrorism and then launching great invasions of middle eastern countries as if that was the answer. Terrorism can't be fought with conventional military forces. It has to be countered with policing, intelligence, covert operations, economic pressure, and cooperation with the local population. We have to drive the criminals apart from the people, not drive them together by warring upon them all. This approach is working in Afghanistan.

They need to break even and give the rest away to the government for redistribution as THEY see fit. I'm voting Democrat because I believe three or four elitist liberals need to rewrite the Constitution every few days to suit some fringe kooks who would NEVER get their agendas past the voters. I'm voting Democrat because I believe that when the terrorists don't have to hide from us over there, when they come over here I don't want to have any guns in the house to fight them off with. I'm voting Democrat because I believe oil companies' profits of 4% on a gallon of gas are obscene but the government taxing the same gallon of gas at 15% isn't.
