I agree whole-heartedly. I am not worried about our players abilty to keep up with them, not at all. Notice that i said If we can't cover them. I am more worried about our player abiltity to run and take advantage of the benifits of Pelini's scheme. It is not a bad scheme, it is just a risky one. We saw all of the downsides of it Saturday. The WRs and TE will find a few holes. The WRs and TE found a heck of a lot more than a few and there is a good reason for that. In order for it to work, you have to hit the QB (wich we DID NOT DO) and you have to pick 1-2 off. Anyone notice all the dropped INTs. The scheme give the DBs more of a chance for INTs, wich is shy Miles was saying that turnovers would be a focus point. We just can not drop that many INTs. You have to get at least one or............well, you saw what happened. I agree. Over confidence can be just as damaging as not enough.
Meyer will beat Phat Phil in a close game, have to play well to beat Georgia and the put up 50+ points against the zone defense of Mr. Bo Pelini.
I tend to believe that a more aggressive defense is riskier. That's why they call the scheme Bo ran 'prevent.' It takes the focus off of blitzing/pass rushing and tries to keep everything in front of the DBs so as not to get burned. I also believe that the prevent-D does not put our blazing fast DBs in a position to take advantage of the benefits because there simply aren't many benefits to be taken advantage of.
Urban may not have ever beaten a top 15 team, but this Florida team has looked pretty good so far & every one here knows that Tennessee is very, very, very, very, very, overrated. We've been saying it since the Cotton Bowl. I say Florida wins this one.
