Re: Bama It's good to have a Bama source for probation related info. There's no substitute for experience.
I thought death sentence was more like; no TV, no scholly, no post-season play, and everything up to total dissolution of the football team. I really didn't think the NCAA could outright deathblow a program like that. They couldn't even field a team? That's brutal. I'm almost curious what they did to deserve it. Then again it's SMU and I just don't care.
They can field a team, they just can't play anyone but themselves. I am glad to lend my experience with sanctions to yall. It is something that I sincerely hope, though might enjoy in a small get ya back kinda way, LSU fans never have to go through.
not sure why the AU vs. bama thing is relevant . .the AU vs. USC game (gameday is going to actually be in OSU vs. WSU) that weekend isn't the same weekend as bama vs. OK. So I'm ok with ESPN preemting the #6 vs. #8 team in the nation to show the defending national champions . . considering Auburn is the most televised team in the nation on ESPN. thank you for your concern though
the main reason no tv ban is because of revenue sharing, the NCAA does not want to punish the entire conferance's pocketbooks. TV bans are becoming rarer...not nonexistant, but not very frequent...
Yeah, it's usually a good idea to get your facts straight if you're going to take a jab. Doh! Keep trying though, you'll luck up one day.
